CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME
Charity means alms or anything given to others by way of help. There is a large number of people who advise others to give alms or donations or to do good things. But when it comes to themselves, they try to escape. They pretend to be generous and good in public, but in private life they are just the opposite. They are hypocrites.Hypocrisy is not the sign of a good man.A good and sincere man does things himself, which he wants others to do.He never plays a dual role.if he wants others to sacrifice anything,He sacrifices those things himself.A man who professes universal brotherhood in public must love his servants and other men under him.If he hates them or ill-treats them,He is a hypocrite. Before trying to love others. He must love his own family, his home and his neighbors.thus the proverb means that we should try to do good and noble things ourselves before suggesting others to do it.also means that we ought to help our poor friends and relatives first before helping people in general.Charity should begin at home and spread on to wider and bigger field.
